Storyboards

The journey to animation starts with breaking down the script and putting down ideas. Once we have a grasp on the concept for the film, a storyboard of notes is written, then a rough storyboard sketched. We went through two iterations of roughs with this project, as we had to fit to a shorter time limit. Then finally the fully designed storyboard, with assets ready-to-animate.

Working on initial concepts for each shot

We teamed up with Tell Studios to create this awesome animation for the Michigan Hospital Associations campaign ‘Big Changes Ahead’. Policy changes to Auto Insurance were coming into effect and we were charged with creating this animation to inform the people of Michigan what level of protection to choose! With a brief of clean lines and a friendly human element, we decided to use the unique landscapes and landmarks of Michigan for our inspiration. From script to animation, I was involved in concept development, storyboarding and design, with consultation on the final animation.
